FLOW MY TEARS I’d rather go to the North Pole, I’d rather leave and not come back. My future here is dark as coal, My memories are carbon black, My mind is full of sorrow, Flow slowly, flow my tears, On the white untrodden snow, Until the end of my years. Here I am on a Plutonian stroll, Oblivion is what I crave. No bell is ever going to toll When I lie in a frozen grave My mind is full of sorrow, Flow slowly, flow my tears, On the white untrodden snow, Until the end of my years. I’d rather go to the North Pole, I’d rather leave and not return. God has forgotten how to console; His angels all deserve to burn. My mind is full of sorrow, Flow slowly, flow my tears, On the white untrodden snow, Until the end of my years.

Four Winters 03:25
FOUR WINTERS Four winters came, white as any death, And none succeeded in stealing your breath, May you live to fight a hundred more, Each one defeated like the one before. Four winters, four winters… When the great leaves fall again, You won’t grieve, you will never complain, You won’t surrender even if you’re alone, And you won’t be afraid of the unknown. Four winters, four winters… Someday soon, gardens will blossom, And you will stand there, tall and awesome, And I will go, for I must go away, Knowing that you’ll delight in every summer day. Four winters, four winters, four winters, four winters…

Sol Invictus 04:50
SOL INVICTUS Dedicated to Tony Wakeford. I’ll meet you in the garden or meet you in the park, By the Roman ruins before it gets too dark. We’ll walk between the hedges and the marble cherubim And talk about the gods, the gentle and the grim. There are towers all around now, their shadows growing tall, We’ll meet there in the evening by the tiny waterfall. We’ll sit on a bench and hold each other tight If a ghost procession passes in the night. Until not so long ago, there used to be gallows here, Thieves and witches hanging, hanging throughout the year, If you hear them whisper, if you hear them moan, Don’t be scared, you’re not alone, And before you go insane, The sun will rise again, Sol Invictus.

Lord Gregory 02:54
LORD GREGORY Inspired by the traditional ballad of the same name (same story, slightly different words). Dedicated to Alasdair Roberts. I am a low-born lass, From the highlands I descended To look for Lord Gregory, I hope you’re not offended. Since I left home days ago, It’s been raining buckets on me. I’ve got to keep my baby warm, please, will you not condone me? Lord Gregory’s away, He will not be back shortly. He’s riding through the kingdom In a company more courtly. So take your unwanted child And don’t stick around too long, For it’s beneath the waves that you and your kind belong. In your tower high and dark, Lord Gregory, do you hear, Do you remember me dancing, Between the brandy and the beer? First, I was reluctant, But your kisses can convince And you loved me till the dawn, I’ve been brooding ever since. Wake me early, mother dear, For I expect my loved one! Worry no more, ‘cause she came today And away she did run. I sent her to the wild coast And to the cliffs all slippery, How could a woman like that bewitch Lord Gregory? Of the horses in my stables, Which one can carry me Like quicksilver to the shore Of the black foaming sea? And if ever I’m too late, I’ll sink by her side, And be with her forever, my dark ocean bride.

Heroes' Dawn 03:03
HEROES’ DAWN I woke up early, before dawn, And saw bonfires on the lawn, I woke up early, before dawn, And saw embers glowing on the lawn. What is this, what’s going on, Shut up, said a shadow there, it’s heroes’ dawn! Banners risen, blades are drawn, All just like in times foregone, Banners risen, blades are drawn, Streams of blood are flowing from times foregone, What’s not forgotten lives ever on In the hearts of those who care, it’s heroes’ dawn! Is it Hastings, is it Argonne? Come back warriors, too long withdrawn. Is it Hastings, is it Argonne? Together again, no longer withdrawn. There is a battle raging on And glory for those who dare, it’s heroes’ dawn!

WHEN THE WAR IS OVER Father, wait for me, I’m coming back to Germany / My hands all red with the blood of my enemy / Father, honour your son, thanks to him, the war is won…/... Mother, look at me, close you eyes and hold me tight / Wash my hands till they’re ivory white / Mother, honour your son, thanks to him, the war is won…/... Sister, you can smile, for the red Beast will rape no more / You can keep your child from the things he should ignore / Sister, kiss your brother, thanks to him, the war is over…/... Brother, where were you, when the snow began to fall / I didn’t see you by my side, I didn’t see you at all / Brother, go to hell, because of you, so many fell.

Niflheim 02:40
NIFLHEIM Goddess of the underworld, Loki's daughter dear, On her treacherous threshold, I have shed a tear, But she's not prone to pity, What a cruel entity, Follow her into the bowels of Niflheim. Odin has thrown her in a dark infernal sphere, Where she rules now, with hunger, sickness and fear, And she's not prone to pity, What a cruel entity, Follow her into the bowels of Niflheim. No rest for the wicked, Sir, whenever Hel is near, Men and monsters all running scared with Hel in their rear, And she's not prone to pity, What a cruel entity, Follow her into the bowels of Niflheim

Pagan 03:59
PAGAN From Stonehenge to Silbury hill, I'm proud to be pagan. I shall do whatever I will, As long as I can. And I'm wishing no-one ill, Not even the Pope, But I'll take my share till I have my fill, Just like Julian H. Cope. From Brittany to South-West Cornwall, I'm proud to be pagan. The stones are standing still, They’re a shelter to the orphan. I've heard the new druids call, Saying it's Beltane soon Let’s drink to the Celtic revival Beneath the bright April moon. From the towers of London the busy To the windswept isle of Man, I know it's not always as easy As it seems to be pagan. I have met Sanders and Gardner In sky-clad assemblies, If you've got a pagan partner, You've got the best of remedies.

Two Ravens 03:45
TWO RAVENS Inspired by the traditional ballad of the same name Two ravens talk as daylight fades And battles end in bloody glades, Now we shall have our dinner soon, All by the light of the winter moon. Look over there, is that soldier dead? The ground around him is all red, Why isn’t his hound willing to go And let us dine on here below? There comes his hawk down from the sky With claws to keep us from landing nigh, And then a lady! What a sad surprise, We’ll still be starving at sunrise. Her kisses could not wake him, So she resolved to take him To the lake where they used to stroll Until they heard the war drums roll. The grave is shallow she made for him, The dirge too low she played for him, Yet every knight should have the same Hawk and hound and faithful dame.”

ARE YOU READY (FOR TOTAL WAR)? Medieval mind in a military mist, Are you glad to find your name on the list? Rise up for nation or moon-coloured race, Congregation or vital space! Are you ready for, are you ready for, are you ready for total war? If Troy must burn, and Dresden too, You’ll be glad to learn what we’ve planned for you. Sabres shimmer, cannons shine, Hiroshima dear, you’re still mine! Are you ready for, are you ready for, are you ready for total war? Black solstice, long knives loom, Exit hope, enter doom! Never too late, five more years, Blood and sweat, toil and tears. Are you ready for, are you ready for, are you ready for total war?
